JWW is proud to present its annual I Witness Award to Luis Moreno Ocampo, the first Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC). As Prosecutor, Ocampo was responsible for the indictments of Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir and Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony and the prosecution of Congolese militia leader Thomas Lubanga, the first criminal to be tried and convicted by the court.
JWW Co-Founder Rabbi Harold M. Schulweis will present the award. John Prendergast, co-founder of the Enough Project, will interview Prosecutor Ocampo.
Join us for this incredible evening to celebrate the progress we have made towards forging sustainable peace through the pursuit of justice.
Event information:
The Awards will be held at UCLA Hillel. Light refreshments will be provided.
Tickets are $20 for General Admission. Student rates are available. Tickets may also be purchased by phone if you wish to avoid processing fees. Please call the JWW office at 818.501.1836.
Parking information:
Parking is available at UCLA Structure 2 for $11. Guests should enter the permit parking lot of Structure 2 from the north side at Hilgard and Westholme.
To get to Hillel from the lot, exit the north side of the parking structure. Cross Hilgard at Westholme. Continue up Hilgard towards Strathmore, and Hillel will be on your right.
